ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?

Pune : Imagine an Indian posh school somewhere in the heart of Delhi, which suddenly decides to have a focused curriculum on American accent development. Co-incidentally, the school also flaunts a number of wealthy Jats and an amalgamation of wealthier Bihari’s who’s accents are thicker than the Pillars on Victoria Memorial. Such was the situation of the OML sponsored AIB which worked around translations of Western roasts only in their thick accents.
With more than a dozen
full of punishable offences put on them, confusion is what everyone resorts to
within and outside the core AIB. However, the real joke was when people were
less concerned about how AIB was questioned by Aamir Khan and not by Baba
Ramdev considering the political repercussions the later would have over the
esteemed actors so called hypocrisy.
The social media went
bizarre as everyone posted support comments for the comedy group which only
grounded its act on plagiarism and how. I guess this is the advantage of being
in India, popularity on the basis of discussion is way beyond reality and how
things are made more important.
The concept Roast, also
coined as insult comedy in a survey by scoopwoop was determined as almost
unknown by the so called educated and upper middle class population which actually
watched, re watched, re, re-watched and then discussed the topic as it was the
national issue of the country then.
Hence, the real concern
here is, what is it that is questionable? The plagiarized act? The show in
general or the concept that Indians are yet to comprehend with an open mind.
